How much does a new air conditioning unit cost?
A standard single-room wall-mounted install is the most affordable option. Multi-split and ducted systems cost more to supply and install. We'll give you a fixed-price quote after a free home survey.
How long does installation take?
A single wall-mounted split unit is usually installed in one day. Multi-split and ducted systems take longer, typically two to three days depending on complexity.
Do I need planning permission?
In most cases, no, domestic AC units fall under permitted development in England. There are exceptions for listed buildings, conservation areas, and very large units. We'll check when we survey the property.
Is it expensive to run?
Modern inverter-based units are very efficient. A typical wall-mounted unit uses around the same electricity as a microwave when running. Reverse-cycle models can also heat more efficiently than traditional radiators in many rooms.
Do you service air conditioning too?
Yes. Regular servicing (once or twice a year depending on use) keeps efficiency high, catches leaks early, and maintains manufacturer warranty. We offer annual service plans, ask when we quote.
